Dear students,
Since the content analysis and grounded theory classes have taken up more time than I originally had planned, we can no longer do both a mixed/multiple methods and a research proposal review session.
I would like to give you the choice of which topic you prefer to cover in the last class on the 14th of July:
- Option 1: A regular style presentation, reading, preparation questions and class discussion on combining qualitative and quantitative methods and the epistemological assumptions/theoretical frameworks that accompany such approaches.
- Option 2: 5-10 minute pitches of your research proposal ideas for feedback and discussion. Basically only the context, research question, core theory, methods in 1-2 slides. Only those who will write the research proposal need to present, but everyone needs to ask at least one question and give ideas, suggestions, advice etc.
I apologise that we won't be able to do both. This semester we lost many classes to public holidays and my own work travels.
Please vote before the end of 6th July to give adequate preparation time. The voting can be found under the final week's section on Moodle.
Best wishes,
Jess
